Emily Williamson
. . . is a born and bred Floyd County artist and nature-lover. She specializes in portraiture and also loves to draw landscapes, both p'ein-air and from photographs. She seems to have a knack for capturing the spirit of an individual when she draws a portrait, a skill that serves her well! She has received some formal training; she attended Virginia Commonwealth University for two semesters and has taken classes with local artist Barbara Capps. Occasionally, she attends "Floyd Figures" on Wednesdays with some of our local talented artists. She does many commissions of a variety of subjects and would be happy to accept more, as she has the time to do them. On an offhand note, she's the daughter of WVTF Public Radio's Seth Williamson and the proud new mommy of a beautiful and sweet baby Indigo!
