Susan Icove
. . . makes eclectic lamps.
She lives in an 1880's brick house a mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway, with her husband, two children, four horses, four dogs, a cat, and a rat. Her studio is in an 1880's brick carriage house next door.
As a artist-crafter, she has seen several phases. She started as a potter. She made handpainted furniture. She did computer graphics.
Now she works with a variety of media, and primarily in metals. She likes the immediacy of metal compared to work in clay.
