Contributor:

 Charlie Brower

Charlie constructs wood sculptures in search of meaning, truth and beauty. He draws upon his experiences with memory, family, nature and just plain living to make sculptures about whatever seems to be important, worthy of attention meaningful, and spiritually uplifting. He constructs with wood because "this material and way of working come naturally to me and because constructing seems to fit the way meaning and beauty occur -they are 'out there' and we reconstruct them from our experiences." Charlie lives in Floyd County with his wife and teaches at Radford University.
