Forest School

Our Forest School program provides children with the opportunity to explore and engage with the outdoors and with others. Following the rhythm and routine of our Forest Kindergarten program we allow older children to dig deeper into the outdoors using nature journaling, quiet reflection, and games. Students will spend the entire morning outdoors in all types of weather.
This program is for children ages 7 to 11 years old and meets on Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The class is led by BMS teacher, Jenni Heartway, who also co-teaches the Forest Kindergarten program and runs the Forest Forts Summer Camp.

Our Daily Rhythm
9:00-9:20: Arrival and Settling In - Students arrive and engage in small group activities.
9:20-9:40: Morning Circle - Songs, instruments, plans for the day.
9:40-9:50: Bathroom and Packing Up
9:50-11:45: Hike, Snack, Activities on the Trail
11:45: Closing Circle and Goodbyes
