The mission of the Blue Mountain Summer Program is to provide a high quality, enriching, experience consistent with the philosophy of Blue Mountain School and available to students from a wide range of backgrounds.

 

Location: Blue Mountain School is located in South Western Virginia in the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, within two miles of the town of Floyd off route 615, 470 Christiansburg pike, Floyd, VA. Visit our website  www.bluemountainschool.net for directions and a map.

 

Camp Offerings: We offer workshops which focus on specific subjects (art, ecology, cooking, sports, survival skills, primitive technology,music, dance , drama, self-care,crafts, social time, games and more). We offer workshops/camp for ages 4 - 17 and a few adult workshops.  Also we will have a week- to-week Kids Fun Camp for ages 4-6 with a different theme each week. Registration is by the week or session.

 

Late Fees:  If you are late picking up your child after a workshop or for the Kids Fun Camp, you will be responible that day or before next class to pay a late fee of $15 per hour to the teacher or to office manager's mailbox. Make checks out to BMS.

 

Registration Fees: Workshop/ Camp Fees paid in full at time of registration. However, campers enrolling in multiple camps/workshops, may pay in installments ( 50% @ enrollment; 50%  first day of camp/ workshop. There is a one time $10 non-refundable registration fee per family each year. Final payment and medical/permission on file byMay 25th or your space may be forfeited. Checks or money orders only, no credit cards.

 

Refund Policy/Change Fees:  If a program  is filled or cannot be offered, BMS refunds all payments.  If you decide to cancel, we issue refunds (minus $25 fee per camp) until May 24th. Please remember we have contracts with our summer staff. After May 25th, refunds are possible only if we fill your child's place. However at the time there is a $40 cancelation fee deducted for each camp cancelation. Cancelations must be in writing: email, fax, or letter. NO PHONE CALLS, please.

 

Late Registering: We keep a wait list to fill cancelations. Enrollments accepted up to first day of each session. Call, email us or check our websitefor availability.

 

Lunch & Snack: All campers bring lunch (including drinks), a snack and waterbottle.

 

NOTE:  We reserve the right to ask a camper not to return due to behavioral problems. Camp fees will be forfeited.
