Blue Mountain School 2026 Summer Camps
Week 1, June 29-July 3, Build Your Own Adventure
Sliding Scale
Cut, carve, drill, glue, tape, tinker, paint, sculpt, and make things that have never been made before! Campers will build creativity, problem solving and social skills while they design, create and build using natural materials and other loose parts. We'll upcycle our own art, strategic games, props and obstacles, building a fun-filled week of big body movement!
Week 2, July 6-10, Wilderness Ways!
Sliding Scale
Come explore the big, wonderful woods as we learn new skills, gain confidence and deepen our love for nature. We'll discover plants and animals, new friends and the best parts of ourselves. Possible activities include fire building, foraging, shelter building, primitive projectiles, tracking and traps, whittling, and animal and plant identification.
Week 3, July 13-17, Big Messy Art!
Sliding Scale
Splash, spin, splatter and swing as campers create process-oriented art that's full of summer energy, self expression, and joy! We'll get messy using games, nature, cooperation, unusual materials, and developmentally appropriate practice while campers cultivate critical thinking skills and creativity.
Week 4, July 20-24, Play With Honor!
Sliding Scale
At Blue Mountain School, one of our favorite sayings is we "play with honor." That includes big games in the woods and small games around the table. We'll run, jump, whoop, chase, strategize and skip while we get stronger in every way, including critical thinking skills, social skills, leadership and love. Campers will come home with new games to share with family and friends as well as opportunities to develop their very own games.
All Blue Mountain School Camps Include:
Real Woods! Real trees, rocks, mud, bugs and weather for real kids to have real adventures!
Games! Campers exercise critical thinking skills while we run, jump, holler and hide with a just right mix of competition and cooperation.
Art! Process oriented, child led crafts, exploration of form and color, critical thinking benefits of using recycled materials
Water Play! Slip, slide, splash and spray with good old fashioned summer fun!
Mindfulness! We make time for precious pauses to reflect, listen and share with our camp community.
Project Approach Learning! Each camp builds with layered choices, guided by campers' interests and abilities, ending each week with a project celebration for families, scaffolding a summer of learning and growth for all of us!
Seasoned Teachers! Each of our camps is led by experienced educators.
