Blue Mountain School is a contemplative progressive educational community located in Floyd, Virginia.
March 1st, 2010 The staff, students, parents, and Board of Directors of Blue
Mountain School would like to extend a warm thank you to The Republic of Floyd
for its generous donation of time and expertise, given to the school in the
production of last Saturday's Mardi Gras fundraising concert. In addition to
providing a lively and celebratory event to our community, the proceeds from
The Republic of Floyd's concert will help the school to continue to grow and
flourish throughout the rest of this school year and into the next.
In particular, the school would also like to thank: Tom Ryan, Barb Gillespie,
Gabriele Hilger, The Sun Music Hall, Tom O'Neill, Natasha Shishkevish, Shooting Creek Brewery, a host
of willing volunteers, and all the musicians and dancers who helped ensure the
night was such a memorable event.
